Position Description

Our goal at Meeple Madness is to help people connect in our disconnected world, and creating community is one of the ways we accomplish this mission. That is where you come in! From enthusiastically greeting our guests and helping them find what they are looking for to making sure the shoppe remains organized and clean, as a Retail Associate / Game Advisor, you are the frontline of a great guest experience. 

You will work with other Staffers and receive guidance from the Shift Lead. You will teach our guests games they are interested in or show them games they may not be aware of. You will help restock shelves and make sure the shoppe stays organized and clean. You will participate in monthly Staffer meetings and receive trainings along the way. Our goal is to help you become a better version of yourself as you help your teammates shine.

Position Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers enthusiastically when they enter the shoppe
  • Assisting customers to find the products and services they are looking for
  • Answering questions from customers in person, over the phone, and in written communications
  • Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers
  • Processing cash and card payments
  • Dealing with customer returns and refunds
  • Receiving, merchandising, and shelving inventory
  • Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shoppe floor
  • Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up relevant displays
  • Keeping the store tidy and clean, especially the bathrooms
  • Keeping the immediate parking lot and surroundings tidy
  • Working within established guidelines, particularly with brands
  • Photographing activities and merchandise
  • Setting up attractive demonstration games and displays
  • Authoring posts, updates, and events for our official Website and Social Media pages
  • Moving tables and other furnishings to accommodate special events
  • Representing our brand at local conventions and other events

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Business or Technology-focused curriculum is desirable
  • Hospitality-focused curriculum is desirable

Additional Information

  • Primary work location is in Flowery Branch, GA
  • Certain activities may take place in alternative locations (Conventions, etc.)
  • All positions are part-time, up to 30 hours per week on average
  • Employees must be available for shifts on Monday – Saturday
  • All employees must have reliable transportation
