Position Description
Our goal at Meeple Madness is to help people connect in our disconnected world, and creating community is one of the ways we accomplish this mission.
Within our community, we host a variety of structure tournaments for our miniature game enthusiasts. Whether they're skirmish games, or grander battles, our minature community, and the games they play, are a huge part of what makes Meeple Madness awesome.
Minature games thrive on tournaments, leagues, and other organized play events, and that is where you come in! From planning day-long tournaments to organizing and managing our casual play nights and league seasons, as a Meeple Madness Event Organizer, you'll help bring our tabletops to life.
As an Events Organizer, you will also work closely with our Events Manager to build out our calendar. You will develop event structures, assist with building out prize support, and design unique tournament experiences. You will ensure tournament information is responsibly managed, protect the integrity of game play as well as tournament results, and help each player enjoy the event to its full potential. You will participate in monthly Staffer meetings and receive trainings along the way. Our goal is to help you become a better version of yourself as you help your teammates shine.
Position Responsibilities
- Developing event schedules for our miniature games including Star Wars: X-Wing, Armada, and Legion, Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Guild Ball, Monsterpocalypse, and others
- Designing unique events to celebrate new releases and regional championships
- Acting as the Tournament Organizer and Judge at our miniature events
- Assisting the Events Manager in developing prize support structures for events
- Ensuring the integrity of player and tournament information in the shoppe
- Ensuring all promotional material is handled ethically, and within the terms outlined by our publishing partners
- Managing tournament software including Challonge and TOME
- Working with our Stock Lead to keep our miniature product in stock at appropriate levels
- Managing timers and other supporting tools during active tournaments
- Developing and documenting tournament policies to create consist experiences across repeated events
- Authoring posts, updates, and events for our official Website and Social Media pages
- Moving tables and other furnishings to accommodate special events
- Working with the General Manager to secure unique terrain for use in tournaments as well as casual play
- Maintaining existing terrain including light repairs
- Representing our brand at local conventions and other events

- Experience creating balanced terrain layouts for tournament play
- Experience with Twitch Live Streaming and OBS
- Experience with painting and modeling
Education
- High School diploma or GED required
- Business or Technology-focused curriculum is desirable
- Hospitality-focused curriculum is desirable
Additional Information
- Primary work location is in Flowery Branch, GA
- Certain activities may take place in alternative locations (Conventions, etc.)
- All positions are part-time, up to 30 hours per week on average
- Employees must be available for shifts on Monday – Saturday
- All employees must have reliable transportation
