The Pantry at HMUMC serves our local community by providing meals to families in need.  Open every Saturday from 9:30am – 11:30am, they provide food to an average of 80 families each and every week.
These are families in our own community that need a little help getting through the week.
To encourage additional donations during this holiday season, Meeple Madness is hosting two Pantry Donation Bins in our shoppe.  The bins are located near the front of the store, and are ready to accept any new, unopened, nonperishable food items.
Currently, families in our area are most in need of:

  • Canned Entrees
  • Canned Meats
  • Canned Fruit
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Breakfast Items

To encourage donations, we're offering double reward points on the value of your donations to the Pantry.
Here's how it works.  Go to Kroger, Publix, or any grocery store in the area, and buy some nonperishable food items for the Pantry.  A box of Pasta (or 10), some canned peaches, or maybe a bag of rice. . .Whatever you feel you can contribute to the cause.    Make sure you grab a receipt, and head over to our store.
Once you're here, head to our register, and show the receipt and the items to one of our staffers.  They'll record the dollar value, along with your Rewards phone number on our Yellow Note Pad of Awesomeness.  Later that evening, we'll go through the Yellow Note Pad of Awesomeness and update your rewards account with two points for every dollar worth of food you've donated.
Want a little more incentive?  If you bring in at least $25.00 worth of donations, in addition to the double points for the donation, you'll get a Pantry Hero Coupon (10%) valid on any single item in our store.  It looks almost exactly like this:

We hope you'll consider supporting the Food Pantry.  For more details, you can check out their Facebook Page.  If you have any questions about donating items at Meeple Madness, please don't hesitate to contact us, or reach out to one of our Staffers when you're here.
We will have the bins in our shoppe through the rest of November, so there's plenty of time to get involved!
